May 19, 2021 Miranda Smith

I have wanted to photograph The Flower Fields forever so when Keiana (pretty name right?) found me on Instagram and wanted that venue, I was all in.

Now, because of the coronavirus, all the fluff has been shut down, all the extras have to be nixed, and (perhaps fortunately) the relatives that you don’t really know were omitted from the guest list — This forced me to look at what life is when you strip away everything else.

This wedding had ALL THE DETAILS THAT MATTER… everything that you would want to remember and that the bride had dreamed about, just none of the things that you do, just to do them.

La Jolla Shores || Connor & Taylor’s Engagement

Your engagement session is a perfect way to communicate your love story… before you get too deep into the business of planning your wedding day. An engagement session is also a great way to test out a professional photographer before hiring them to capture your wedding. When you are starting to think about hiring wedding photographers kick off the search by looking for photographers whose photos you love. Browse our blogs for previous work and save any that stand out to you. Pinterest is also a great option for this and can give you styling ideas along the way.

Elopements and Weddings in the Era of COVID-19

April 30, 2020 Miranda Smith

Coronavirus may have put your wedding and other special events in limbo but why not schedule an elopement session for as soon as the outdoor limits are lifted and have an impromptu wedding as close to your original wedding date as possible? Then if you weren’t already- start quarantining with your beloved, and all takes is an officiant, a photographer who can act as your witness, and the two of you! Buy a simple dress online, I know a handful of florists who would be delighted to chat with you on the phone and hand you a bouquet for drive-by pick up, and let’s run out into the wild together where you can GET MARRIED

Windmill Ranch, Escondido || Andy & Alyssa’s Wedding

It was all the things, a perfect day drenched in spring wedding colors of sage, peach, dusty blue, and gray and a couple as delightful and unfussy as you could possibly hope anyone to be; seriously. You want to spend your wedding day wrapped up in laughter with your absolute favorite people and this was exactly that. Plus budget wedding decor doesn’t need to look that way, this was stunning with antique furniture gathered from family and friends and little details everywhere contributing to the old, new, borrowed and blue. For a very practical wedding with a DIY bride and groom this one absolutely take the cake, (actually it was wedding pie), for unique ideas for a wedding.
